Precept Study: The Gospel of John

The Precept Bible class will be studying the Gospel of John, chapters 12-21. This is a 14-week course.

Learn from Jesus as He takes time with His disciples shortly before His death, and teaches them about the ministry of the Holy Spirit, how to have a servant mindset, what it means to abide, and more. Precept Bible studies teach you how to study the Bible inductively and gets you deeply into the word of God. Homework is about 5 hours a week. Book price is $31.00, and there are two options for classes: The Wednesday night classes begin September 8, 6:15-8:00 and the Friday morning classes begin September 10, 9:30-11:30. Breaking Free: The Journey, The Stories by Beth Moore guides participants through a study of the Scriptures to discover the transforming power of freedom in Jesus Christ. Themes for this study come from Isaiah, a book about the captivity of God's children, the faithfulness of God, and the road to freedom.

This in-depth women's Bible study draws parallels between the captive Israelites of the Old Testament and New Testament believers in Jesus as the Promised Messiah. Beth looks at the Book of Isaiah through the lives of the kings who ruled during the prophet's ministry. These kings exemplify many of the obstacles to freedom with which we must deal. Using Scripture to help identify spiritual strongholds in your life, no matter how big or small, Beth explains that anything that hinders us from the benefits of knowing God is bondage.

Taped live at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans, this study includes testimonies of how women like you have found freedom and have been delivered from personal captivity.

 

New In-Home Study for Women

No Other Gods Confronting Our Modern Day Idols by Kelly Minter is a distinctly relational study for women. In this eight-session Bible study Kelly encourages women to make room for God by dethroning the functional gods that clutter and claim their lives.

 

Beginning Monday, October 4 at 6:15 there will be a new ladies group meeting at SuzAnne Keith's home in Fishers. Books are $15 each. Sign up in the Guest Center or contact the church office for more information.

 

Belles' Brunch

Our annual ladies' Christmas celebration will be held in the Christian Life Center on Saturday, December 4th. It is a wonderful time to connect with other women and celebrate the season. The Belles' Brunch features elegantly decorated tables, breakfast, coffee, Christmas music and an inspiring speaker. We are now seeking table hostesses.
