North America is our "Samaria" in the Acts 1:8 Challenge. Whether it's traveling to Florida to sing for prison inmates or traveling to New York to hand out granola bars on the streets, Northsiders are always up for the challenge to show the love of Christ.
Currently, Northside has a partnership with a church in Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada) where the Winter Olympics will be held in February, 2010. Groups have traveled to assist the church in several areas including women's ministry and Upward Basketball.
Groups of Northsiders are always on call for disaster relief. When hurricane Katrina hit the Mississippi and Louisiana areas, our members made themselves available to help rebuild. In the Fall of 2008, our Mystery Mission Trip was centered around the continuing ministry to hurricane victims in Mississippi.
Northside member, Bob Burton, serves as a full-time missionaries on the North American Mission Board. Tony Manning, in his role as pastor of Hamilton Village, is also being supported through NAMB.
